How the AI Generates Test Cases

When you use the app, the AI creates test cases based on your Jira Work Item’s Summary and Description. Using ChatGPT over API and custom designed AI Prompts. Detailed Prompt logic is our secret sauce but here’s the guideline to help understand how it works:

  1. Source Data:
    App takes Summary and Description from source Work Item/Issue, Requirement or other specification.

  2. Test Type Prompt:
    Choose the test type (like Manual, Cucumber, or Generic). This sets the format and style for your test case. Project admins can customize these options and save Test Type list for all project users.

  3. Project-Specific Instructions:
    Guidelines set by project admin are automatically included to ensure consistency in Test creation across your team’s Jira Project.

  4. Your Additional Instructions:
    As user You can add extra details or requirements for the AI to follow.

  5. Check for Duplicates:
    App does Uniqueness Check, i.e. verifies that new Test Case(s) are not overlapping with existing ones related to Source Item

  6. Regenerate Prompt:
    If you want to revise a test case before saving, use the regenerate option to update just that test, like Copilot style code writing.
